Functionality

Target Server:
PRIMERGY RX2530M8, RX2540M8, RX4770M8
Requirements:
- embedded Lifecycle Management must be enabled
- SD-card in Server
- For eLCM update
- iRMC S5 FW >= 3.39P
- For Simple Update
- iRMC S5 FW >= 3.39P
- The ASP for the target component must support Simple Update

Restrictions:
- Supported is update iRMC on RX4770M6-A1  with board without PFR (board A1)
- BIOS downgrades (Dedicate offline update) is not supported for M5 systems
- As of 19.10, there are is only one BIOS and iRMC ASP with an F70 for
TX1320M4, TX1330M4 and RX1330M4 therefore no update is needed for those
servers.
- Similarly, as of 19.10 there are only one BIOS ASP that supports Deskflash
for Mehlow systems. It is therefore not possible to perform a BIOS update
for Mehlow systems.
- For offline update of machines with two BIOS versions available please use
at least iRMC v.1.08P
- Please remember, that successful update cannot be performed on machines
with debug mother board (for some A1 systems main board is recognized as D1
instead of A1 ? on those machines update will not start)
- PFR model PRIMERGY iRMC update is not supported
- Unable to update M5 BIOS from R1.8.0. Please update BIOS from iRMC WebUI.
Hints and Restrictions:
1. eLCM function not supported in first T50 release for TX2550M7 system
Solution: Use iRMC version from 2.31S
2. After the IRMC updating process reaches 100%, it starts again from 0%, but
update is performed correctly afterwards
3. Dedicated Update Task Manager status error even if update was successful
Solution: Solution: Use iRMC version from 2.31S
4. After executed offline update on RX8770 M7, the version of IRMC contains
in IEL and actual version didn?t match
5. During the iRMC update process on the RX8770M7, it is not possible to perform
it using the RX8770M7_MangtCtr_FW0101E_SDR298.scexe asp file. The update aborts
with the message "The new version was not correctly installed"
6. During the update on RX8770M7 using REST Client, despite the fact that the logs
from the process carried out inform about updating the components, Task Manager
marks the process as failed
7. Simple Update doesn't work for RAID and LAN Controllers. Task Manager
restarting during update
Solution: Use iRMC version 2.06S
8. Update of PDUAL CP300 is not possible in version 16.23.10
