1. Introduction
This package contains BIOS update files supporting BIOS Update
Windows environment.

2. Preparation
BIOS Update - Windows
After downloading the *.exe file containing the BIOS Update -
Windows package you need to store the files to any directory.

3. BIOS Update Procedure
Important notes:
- Make sure that an AC adapter and a charged battery pack is
connected to your system.
- You need to have administrator privileges to run the BIOS update
utility.
- First you need to suspend BitLocker encryption before updating
the BIOS on a computer that has BitLocker enabled.
Attention:
- Do not turn off or suspend the computer until the BIOS update
has been completed.
- BIOS update will be completed by a shutdown / reboot of the system.
BIOS Update - Windows:
Run BIOS Update Utility (file: *.exe) to update your System BIOS
in Windows environment.

Current BIOS V1.12:
Solved problems:
- Fixed Linux issue.
- Support WOL (wake on LAN) for Windows 8 default shutdown.
- Show up F2/F12 message during S4 resuming.
- Support AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) function for Intel CPU.
- Sometimes system hang up when press F2/F12 key to enter BIOS setting.
BIOS V1.11:
Solved problems:
- Crisis error issue.
- F2/F12 key can’t work after Windows 8 Hybrid shutdown.
BIOS V1.10:
Solved problems:
- The external VGA monitor is abnormal under Windows XP.
BIOS V1.09:
Solved problems:
- Add KEK and DB key which are security key for FTP special application
or Data CD/ODD
- Fix BSOD 0x7B when Windows XP installation.
- Fix the brightness hotkey (Fn+F6 / Fn+F7) can’t work under Windows XP

Additional information:
- It is initial BIOS.
- Update EC version to V0.12
- Update the oil0907 which is FJ customization code
- When set the “K5:SCBTD”, CSM item should be set to “Enabled” in the BIOS
Setting
- When set the “XG:HDDDIS”, an exclamation mark is shown in from of HDD and HDD
will be not shown in the Boot menu (F12).
- BIOS V1.05 was skipped.
- Update Microcode.
- Update FJ customization code to oil0914.
- Fixed open reseal process fail for ODM production line.
- Support GD25Q64 8MB flash part.
- It supports Windows x64.
- Correct "Copyright 1985-2011 Phoenix Technologies Ltd." string display in
BIOS diagnostic screen.
