BIOS Flash update in DOS-mode: _______________________________________________________________________________ After running the APi15123.exe the floppy disk should contain following files: SFlash16.exe P53Ix0F.123 flash.bat readme.bat readme.txt (this file) To flash your BIOS, boot to DOS-mode and run flash.bat from the floppy disk. _______________________________________________________________________________ II. BIOS Flash update from WINDOWS: _______________________________________________________________________________ Download the WinFlash_APi15123.exe and save it at the WINDOWS desktop or to an folder you like. !!Close all programms and applications!! To flash your BIOS run WinFlash_APi15123.exe by a double-click. _______________________________________________________________________________ current BIOS v. 1.23: (support AMILO Pi1536, Pi1537, AMILO Pi1556 & Pi1557) Solved problems: - A routine to check the platform- ID has been implemented to prevent that the wrong ID is set after warm- or cold start of the system. Known errors, problems and restrictions: - An error message will appear if the system is resuming from standby mode (S3) and a virtual operating system (VM Ware) is running in parallel. The reason therefore is that VT cannot resume from standby mode. Investigations regarding this problem are ongoing. - If the BIOS 1.23 is flashed (Windows & DOS) the BIOS default values will be loaded but the PWs (supervisor & user) will be kept. - If a BIOS password is set and the BIOS setup is left by “Discard changes & exit” the password will be kept anyway. Additional information: - The µ- code for Intel Core2 Duo (L2 stepping) processors has been implemented. - Adjust the BIOS 1.23 to support the Intel Core2 Duo T5300 (Tj= 85°C) processor. - The BIOS can also be updated in Windows environment using WinFlash_APi15123.exe. _______________________________________________________________________________ predecessor BIOS v. 1.20: (support AMILO Pi1536 / Pi1537) Solved problems: - CPU µ-code updated to support the Intel Core Duo CPU T2350.
