Known errors, problems and restrictions: - The MS event viewer sporadically reports an “ACPIEC” error at system error records. This occurs when system is under heavy load (e.g. stresstest). But it does not influence the system´s reliablility or performance. Additional information: - none ________________________________________________________________________________ __ Predecessor BIOS V1.03c Solved problems: - Add support for AMD Turion64 processors. - The BIOS version is now displayed as 1.03C at MS system information. Known errors, problems and restrictions: - If an AMD Turion64 processor is used it is not recommended to downgrade to BIOS 1.02C due to this version does not support this CPU type and the system will therefore not start. - The MS event viewer sporadically reports an “ACPIEC” error at system error records. This occurs when system is under heavy load (e.g. stresstest). But it does not influence the system´s reliablility or performance. - When entering the boot menu via F12 very sporadically the keyboard does not react anymore. It´s functionality can be reestablished by pressing one of the shortcut keys (mail, www or silent mode button). This problem is under investigation. Additional information: - none ________________________________________________________________________________ __ Predecessor BIOS V1.02c Solved problems: - Support for Novatel UMTS PC Card Known errors, problems and restrictions: - Passwords which are set will be deleted after upgrading the BIOS from 1.01C to 1.02C under MS-DOS environment. - When downgrading from BIOS 1.02C to 1.01C (via WinFlash utility) or upgrading from BIOS 1.01C to 1.02C (via WinFlash utility) the “Optimal Default” values have to be loaded after rebooting the system for the first time. This is caused by the changed CMOS layout. - "Optimal Default" values will be loaded if BIOS 1.02C is flashed under MS-DOS environment. Additional information: - none ________________________________________________________________________________ __ Predecessor BIOS V1.01c this is an initial BIOS Solved problems: - New VGA BIOS 2.06J.01 implemented. This updated version prevents flickering on external monitors during DVD playback by WinDVD 5.0. build 300. - Correction of DMI string to “AMILO A1640” / “AMILO A7640”. - Battery leakage issue fixed which prevents “system cannot power on”. Known errors, problems and restrictions: - Passwords which are set will be deleted after upgrading BIOS from 1.00C to 1.01C. - It is not recommended to downgrade from BIOS 1.01C to 1.00C due to systems with AMD revision D0 processors will only work properly with BIOS 1.01C. - [Optimal Default] values will be loaded if BIOS 1.01C is flashed under MS-DOS environment because “LCMOS014.EXE” automatically sets the valid values for BIOS 1.01C. - Downgrading from BIOS 1.01C to 1.00C under MS-DOS environment will cause a [bad checksum] interrogation with every system start. This will also occur if [Optimal Default] values were loaded after rebooting the system. Additional information: - Add support for AMD revision D0 processors. ________________________________________________________________________________ __ Predecessor BIOS V1.00c Solved problems: - none Known errors, problems and restrictions: - none Additional information: - This is an initial BIOS
