Question: Which models are subject to the battery replacement program?
Answer: Subject to this voluntary replacement program are only certain batteries of the following models:
  • LIFEBOOK C1320

  • LIFEBOOK P1510

  • LIFEBOOK P7120

  • LIFEBOOK Q2010

  • LIFEBOOK S7020 / S7020D

  • LIFEBOOK S7010

  • LIFEBOOK T4210

  • AMILO Pro V8010

  • AMILO Si 1520
As only some batteries of these models are affected, please refer for definite identification to our “web-tool“ at http://support.ts.fujitsu.com/com/support/batteryexchange/sony_index.html
 
Question: How can I identify a possibly affected battery?
Answer: At first please check whether your notebook is one of the affected series. If this is the case, please refer to our “web-tool”, where the serial number of the notebook, the part number of the battery and the lot number of the battery will be checked.

Question: How can I get a replacement battery?
Answer: If you have identified via our “web-tool” that your notebook is equipped with an affected battery, subsequently you are able to order a replacement battery via the same tool. After entering your personal data in the “web-tool” our logistics partner will deliver the replacement battery to the given address. Within the EU countries (plus Swiss, Norway and Israel) it will be TNT. For other countries you will be contacted by our service partner network. After receiving the new battery, you have to return the affected battery. Please return the affected battery in the same package wherein you have received the new battery.

Question: How long will it take to receive a replacement battery?
Answer: We aim to exchange the battery within one week from web-logging but under specific circumstances it may take approximately 4-6 weeks depending of the availability of the batteries. TNT will send out advanced shipping information to the given email address. The reference number from the web tool customer can be used for tracing purposes on the TNT web-site.
 
Question: Can I use my notebook without battery?
Answer: Yes, your notebook works well with the AC power adaptor, even without the battery plugged in.
