BIOS Flash update in DOS-mode: _______________________________________________________________________________ After running the Pi150108.exe the floppy disk should contain following files: SFlash16.exe L50II0.108 flash.bat readme.bat readme.txt (this file) To flash your BIOS, boot to DOS-mode and run flash.bat from the floppy disk. _______________________________________________________________________________ II. BIOS Flash update from WINDOWS: _______________________________________________________________________________ Download the WinFlash_Pi150108.exe and save it at the WINDOWS desktop or to an folder you like. !!Close all programms and applications!! To flash your BIOS run WinFlash_Pi150108.exe by a double-click. _______________________________________________________________________________ current BIOS v. 1.08C: Solved problems: - The display will now be powered off if you close the LID and “Do nothing” is chosen at the Power Options Properties. Known errors, problems and restrictions: - If setting a BIOS password and choosing “Discard changes & exit” the password will be kept anyway. - The system can not reach the highest CPU frequency in battery mode (protection function and power saving): e.g. Intel Core Duo T2300 runs at maximal 1.66GHz in AC-mode; in battery mode only 1.33GHz are available. - An error message will appear if the system is resuming from standby mode and a virtual operating system (VM Ware) is running in parallel. The reason therefore is that VT cannot resume from standby mode. Investigations regarding this problem are still ongoing. Additional information: - The thermal table has been adjusted to support the Merom T5200 (TJ85) processor. - The BIOS can also be flashed in windows environment by using “WinFlash_Pi150108.exe”. _______________________________________________________________________________ predecessor BIOS V 1.06C: Solved problems: - Systems equipped with a CPU which runs on FSB 667MHz cannot resume from stand by mode if the silent mode is enabled. This issue is now fixed.
